The <i>reason</i> I left school at 16 was because I was sick of <i>not</i> being treated like an adult. </p> <p>I have no doubt that my worldliness was mostly imagined at that age, but I was still doing a fine job of looking after myself.</p> <p>Ten years later I don’t feel or act like the adult Dr Jose describes but I <b>am</b> an adult if for no other reason than that is what the law decrees me to be.
